Brothers in arms...to the end

Smith and Wesson Model 29
Go ahead...make my day

Smith and Wesson Model 29

Caliber: .44 Magnum

Capacity: 6 rounds

After much controversy, I did some more checking to confirm many of your assertions that the casings confirm Fad's guns as a Model 29. As the caps below prove, it is indeed true.
My apologies for not realising this sooner especially those that have repeatedly emailed and commented. There were several others before them but I'd like to thank Will Szwagiel and Erik Drotleff for helping to finally convince me of the gun's origin.
For a time, the combination of the .44 Remington Magnum cartridge and S&W .44 Magnum revolver was the most powerful handgun/cartridge combination In the world.

Smith and Wesson Model 29 .44 Magnum
very clearly seen, the headstamp PMC and the calibre .44 Magnum which clinched the gun's ID
Empty cartridge casings ejected with the headstamp clearly seen. for those of you who have not seen session 16, this cap and the one above is closely related to the ending.
The unmistakable logo of Smith and Wesson can clearly be seen
You can just make out the words 'SMITH &' and 'SPRING..' on the revolver's frame
