This is the single-shot pistol or derringer (according to me) that Spike used to put a big fat one into Wen's head (Opps!) in session 6, Sympathy for the Devil.
The idea that it is a Thompson Encore comes from someone from the Bebop forum who suggested it long ago.
After some investigation, it kinda looks like the Encore so I'll go with his suggestion. That is until someone comes along and comments/criticizes/corrects me on this.
According to the website specs provided the Encore is a single shot, break open design with an interchangeable barrel. It can accept a wide range of accessories including a scope mount, grips and forends.
