I've finally gotten off my lazy ass and started doing work on the Bebop movie Knockin' On Heaven's Door which was released December 2001. It was produced by the same crew who did the tv series. In the movie we get to see more of Spike's hand to hand combat style of jeet kun do where he spars with both Electra and Vincent. Very interesting. There are also a lot of 'Once a thief'-ish style poses from Spike and Vincent. Perhaps a final homage gesture to Mr John Woo? We also get to see a more 'exposed' Faye though just barely.. ^_^ It was kinda dissappointing to see that they gave less screen time to Jet, Ed and Ein thought. It was kinda hard to cram all the classic elements of Bebop into a two hour movie and if you ask me some parts were dragged on too long unnecessarily. On the upside is the simply gorgeous detail they've put into the scenes. The shootout scenes are awesome and the detail is incredible! Mars looks more like a mish mash of New York and Paris mixed together in this movie. The aerial dogfight scene where Spike duels three military grade Sp's ranks up there with the Macross Plus dogfight scenes. As before, you will not find any information such as plot lines, character descriptions or freebie downloads here. Go somewhere else as recommended in my links section. What you will find here is the guns wielded by the main protaganists (Yes!), some of the more standout Ship-Planes (Sp's) in the movie and the interesting urban assault gear of the ISSP. I neglected to show more partly to whet your appetite for those of you who have not seen the movie, I'm too lazy to add more (^_^) and also cause updating the page takes up a lot of my time.
