Electra Oviera
stop tapdancing goddammit!

Shin had this to say on Electra's gun:

"Hi I just wanted to state an opinion in regards to Electras Glock. After reading your article I watched every scene with electras gun close up and in slow mo on my dvd player.

And I found that it never changes, even in the jail break scene! she uses the same model for the whole movie.

On the train not so much when she points the gun at vincent but when she cocks it and flips the safety before moving back the train you can clearly see that its the glock she puts in her pocket. And on the bonus feature concept art they have a picture of the jail break gun and it shows that its just electras gun with flashlight laser combo that possibly increases range.

As for the sig i just dont see it? She only ever uses a gock from what I can see who knows maybe its a GLOCK 71. lol, L dunno maybe someone else might."

And you know what? I checked the scenes in the dvd where Electra totes a gun (Cherious Medical hallway, jail block and science lab plus monorail) and indeed I believe Electra uses the SAME MODEL gun throughout as attested by Paul & Justin Brown.

In the hall where she confronts our hero Spike, it's a standard (Compact?) model, with an admittedly different trigger guard than all the other gun she uses, VERY LIKELY the same one she uses in the monorail. The one's that she and Spike relieved from the guards are essentially the same as the base type EXCEPT that its equipped with light mounts/LAM's and 3-sided trigger guard as seen in the frame below and the concept illustration.

The jury is still out but IMHO, we are seeing a standard/compact model (Cherious Medical hallway + monorail scenes), and a law enforcement model (Cherious Medical detention jail + science lab).

On the other hand, it could be as
Taylor Mock suggests a variant of the SVI Infinity Modified seen here? Hey if that's the case then both Electra and Vincent are loyal customers of Strayer-Voight! How's that for celebrity endorsement! ^_^

I leave you with earlier comments regarding this subject…

Justin Brown had this to say on Electra's gun:
"Electra does use the same weapon throughout the movie (not a P226, that's just how the weapon is viewed from the front). The gun Electra uses, and the one Spike picks up in the jail-break are NOT the same, however. They are probably like the G21; the gun doesn't actually exist, but the designers used the mechanics of existing weapons to create their own ideas. The gun Electra primarily uses, in my opinion, looks likes a customed Glock. It has the same grip and barrel design as a Glock, with the rectangular rear, no trigger in sight. The slanted fore-end is the 'custom' part."

...followed by:
"Electra's gun. Notice the smooth barrel, but also lack of LAM under the barrel like the jail-break guns. The barrel of the gun is shortened as well, and is also small enough for Electra to carry in a jacket pocket, so it probably belongs to a Glock compact family, like Faye's."

Shaun Allen
adds:
"I really dont think Electra ever uses a P229 on the train because if u look when she first gets on she checks and slips her Glock compact into her pocket before trying to find vincent."

Electra's gun?
doesn't that janitor look familiar? ^_^
