Welcome to my page! What is Cowboy Bebop about anyway you may ask? In a nutshell, the adventures of a group of bounty hunters in the year 2071. What's so great about that? Check out the hundreds of wespages dedicated to Cowboy Bebop and you'll find out. Well, when they consist of an ex-Mafia (or syndicate or gang, whatever) gangster, an ex-cop with a bionic (artificial, whatever) arm, an ex-cryogenically frozen chick with a bad attitude, a wacky hacker that can do just about anything and a Welsh Corgi dog with the intelligence of a human (supercomputer; beats Unix anyday ^_^), anything can happen! This site does not claim to be a 'comprehensive' guide simply because I do not have adequate resources to do so. This is simply a 'visual' guide to give some insight into the world of Cowboy Bebop. By the looks of things it'll be a guns guide for quite a while, not by intention but because it's the most aspect I receive submissions, suggestions and comments from. Btw, the aircraft & vehicle guide is still offline to concentrate on the guns sections. I'm not complaining because all of you have made this site into the premier Bebop gun page in cyberspace. Also I am pondering putting up an edged weapon guide (subject to the free time I have) but currently do not have enough information on most of them, especially Vicious' katana. As of yet (as far as I know of) no one has put up an edged weapons section in their bebop webpages. Then again the last time I went Bebop'in website hunting was like 4 to 5 years ago! ^_^ If you are looking for episode guides or summaries, character descriptions, image galleries or music files, you'd better look elsewhere like my links page. That's the last time I'll ever buy video cd's again! Rarely do they last a long time, and they scratch too easily. A lot of my old ones have gone the way of the dodo while only a few have lasted. So now my entire Bebop video collection now consists of bootleg DVDs (please forgive me Watanabe-san, and the anime community at large! Hontouni gomen nasai!!) until such time (if ever) I'll get to buy the bebop Perfect Collection. Once again the ONLY original Bebop stuff I have is the manga collection (it rocks!) from Kinokuniya. Till then, hope you like what you see.
'See you space cowboy' In case you have any suggestions, comments or questions you may e-mail The Lone Gunman at ray2ray@hotmail.com. If you are including pictures, I urge you to send it to my Yahoo mail account which is ray442154@yahoo.com as my Hotmail account tends to get clogged up sometimes. Thanx!
Updates:
30/08/04: The Jericho 941(series), Electra Oviera, Shin's gun, Store hold-up guns, Cherious Medical G21 sections have been updated.
Thanks to Steven Tran-Creque for pointing out that Bateau's voice actor in Ghost in The Shell: Stand Alone Complex is not Ushou Ushizuka but Akio Otsuka. And yes he also voices the character of Quent Yaiden, the wolf-hating ex-policeman in Wolf's Rain. But yes, Togusa's voice actor remains Spike Spiegel himself, Yamaderou Koichi. My mistake for not checking the credits properly.
I would like to extend my thanks to all those who had replied to my request for information regarding the markings on the CD cover Jericho. I have included their remarks below and in the Jericho 941 section on page 3. Thanks fella's, I owe you one.
The miscellaneous section has been updated, this time with an edged weapons gallery, featuring our main bad boy Vicious. I am currently gathering information on his sword but anyone is welcome to voice their opinions or thoughts on this matter. Just drop me a line..
Once again before I leave, here are some mail I found pertinent and shareable with you:
Regarding Poseidon/KBI + CD cover Jericho:
Sal USAF
i was just reading your site and came across the info. the real jericho 941's marks on the left side of the frame read
=jericho 941= Israel military industries
not poseidon...thats a manufacturer that makes a plastic toy gun model of the jericho with "laser grips." to match spike's jericho. the normal stock handgrips are much different. spike's gun does actually have a laser but he never uses it ever.
the poseidon gun comes with changeable ejection porst in .40S&W and a 9x19 one. they also make the handgrips for the hudson airsoft jericho 941 wich I currently own. here is the poseidon website....japanese but just navigate around you will find pics of it. http://www.poseidon.co.jp/1F/1f.html
in all applicable pictures i have found its a 9x19 gun. i went to E3 2004 and saw the ads for a bebop game for playstation 2 and the ad's show spike holding a jericho 941 9x19 even has the serial # showing. ill have to dig that out again for that serial. alright well hope this ads some info. that single shot gun as well is made in an airsoft verision and is made by digicon and is simply called a target pistol alright well i hope this has helped

Well, not only am I interested in Cowboy Bebop, but I am also very interested with guns. I have no access to real-steel versions unfortunately, but I may be able to shed some light on the Poseidon markings on the side of the Jericho on the cd box.
I enjoy the sport of airsoft, which is where thos markings derive from. A company called "Poseidon" makes a kit for the HUDSON Jericho 941 GBB (Gas-Blowback) Airsoft gun, that makes it look JUST like the one Spike uses. It just adds some parts (aesthetic) to make it look like spike's gun.
Could Poseidon have something to do with Poseidon military industries? Hmmm........

The picture on the CD cover was referenced off the Dai Nihon Gaiken/Poseidon spike's jericho kit. The original kit is long out of production, but can still be seen here: http://www.poseidon.co.jp/6F/jerico/jfr_1.html
Currently, for those of us lucky enough to have the Hudson airgun or a real one (drool) and able to coerce some Japanese person to buy it through, they put out a conversion kit as can be seen here: http://www.poseidon.co.jp/3F/jer/jer1.html

Why Shin does not pack a Glock..
There's no way Shin's pistol could be a Glock.
My death-blow on the SIG-Sauer vs Glock debate: Page 39, pictures 211, 212, and 213 (http://bebopguide.50megs.com/img211.gif, http://bebopguide.50megs.com/img212.gif, http://bebopguide.50megs.com/img213.gif). All pictures show Shin's pistol having an external hammer. All Glock pistols are internal striker-fired. They have no hammer.
Also, in image 217 (http://bebopguide.50megs.com/img217.gif), one can clearly see the disassembly lever of the pistol at the top right corner of the pic. The Glock has no lever, only a sliding button (http://bebopguide.50megs.com/img115.jpg).
All the charateristics of a SIG-Sauer/SIG Arms pistol are there. Slight slope upwards of frame dustcover from trigger-guard to muzzle. Unique shape of trigger-guard. Angle of the rear of the slide. The hammer. The shape and location of the disassembly lever. Shin's pistol is a SIG-Sauer/SIG Arms P228 9mm(http://www.sigarms.com/apps/cmt/img/p228-large.jpg) or maybe a P229 9mm/.40 S&W/.357 SIG (http://www.sigarms.com/apps/cmt/img/p229-large.jpg), which has a longer strengthening ridge on the slide. This ridge extends the full length of the slide, not just to the rear slide serrations, as on the 228. It could also be a SIG Pro, (http://www.sigarms.com/apps/cmt/img/sp2009-large.jpg) but if it is, the the disassembly lever noted earlier would be the slide release, which is extended on the SIG Pro like that.
History of the CZ-75 + why it and its clones are uber accurate..
The Jericho 941 was originally a clone of the CZ-75 pistol.
(http://www.world.guns.ru/handguns/cz75b.jpg) Israel Military Industries made a few refinements and modifications to the CZ design, thus making the 941. Quoting from http://www.world.guns.ru/handguns/hg51-e.htm:
"The CZ-75 accumulated best features from many preceding designs. Resulting pistol was aesthetically attractive, comfortable to handle and shoot, quite accurate and reliable in operation. Made by CZ in various versions and modifications, CZ-75 was also widely copied and cloned. Most popular of CZ-75 copies are (or were) made by: IMI (Jericho-941, Israel), Tanfoglio (TZ-75, TZ-90, T-95, Italy), Sarsilmaz (M2000, Turkey), ITM (AT-88, Swiss), Sphinx (mod.2000, Swiss), Norinco (NZ-75, China), Springfield (P9, USA)." The CZ-75 was one of the first handguns to run the slide inside the frame, instead of the convention slide outside the frame. This is the major reason's that the CZ-75 and it's many clones are so accurate.
